A Few Words From Susan

Greetings all and welcome!

I have lived my entire life in the Pacific Northwest. My father called it the most beautiful place on earth, I call it home. I live on a boat and spend my summers anchored out on the water. Watching the sunsets, I often still hear his voice…”Suzie.…” Does this happen to you, a memory from years ago whispering in your ear? His death, when I was a young teen, impacts me to this day. I can clearly see how my relationship with him has not only shaped who I am, but what I bring to the table as a human in this world. I share this because it is the reason I am here writing to you, my friend. We, as the adults in children’s lives, are a whisper in their ear when we are long gone.

I think a great deal about this earth and what the future holds. I have a granddaughter and wish for her a world full of kindness, inclusivity, compassion, and empathy. I strive to write children’s books that plant the whisper for a better future.
